The Legislative Decree no. 231 dated June 8th 2001 provided for the idea of corporate administrative liability. The decree, entitled Law about the administrative liability of legal persons, companies and associations, including those without legal status, sanctions a series of crimes, especially those against the Public Administration (such as corruption and bribery) and corporate crimes (such as false accounting) committed by directors, managers or employees in the interest or for the benefit of the company. To prevent any crimes and to fully comply with the Decree provisions, we have drawn up a Code of Ethics as constant reference point and target for the behaviour to be adopted. The Code of Ethics was approved by the Board of Directors.
This document was independently drawn up, approved and adopted by our company to communicate to all stakeholders the principles of corporate conduct, the commitments and the ethical responsibilities in the conduct of corporate business and activities which the Company intends to comply with. It shall be respected by all people working in the company and having contractual relationships with it (suppliers, consultants, agents, brokers, partners, etc.).
It is therefore aimed at identifying the essential values, reference standards and rules of conduct at the basis of all our actions, by setting out the orientation principles for the behaviour of all those who work with the Company.
Such principles and values are binding, without exception to all the company representatives, to the employees and to any person directly or indirectly acting in the name and on behalf of the Company. Mediocredito Europeo SpA undertakes not to start or continue any relationship with people who do not intend to comply with the Code of Ethics.
